Workforce Planning – What it is and overcoming the barriers

Paul will be delivering his workshop, ‘Workforce Planning – What it is and overcoming the barriers’ on Wednesday 12 May at 11.30 and 13.45.

Why is it important?

As budgets are cut and organisations come under increasing financial pressure many are looking to Workforce Planning to deliver monetary savings, however if managed correctly, workforce planning can also provide wider organisational benefits. This workshop will define the task of workforce planning and identify why it is a major challenge by looking at the key issues involved.

What will I learn?

The workshop aims to examine common barriers and pitfalls and explain how to overcome them by suggesting practical ways forward. There will also be advice included on planning for staff exiting the organisation. The workshop draws on experience gained working with Glasgow City Council.
